Sikelè Rosso

The grape here is named after the town down the road from the winery, which is about as local as it gets. Sicilian reds have a reputation for running big and hot. This one is dark cherry and dried herbs and stays cool the entire way through, and it takes a chill without losing the plot. Estate by Chet Baker does the same thing: an Italian summer song played completely cool.
